Nationwide Auto Insurance - A brief description
Your car is a personal asset. The high value and utility of a vehicle necessitates insurance because it may be very costly to repair or replace. Insurance will ensure that your vehicle is well protected in the event of an accident, theft, or storm damage that would cause major financial losses. Auto insurance can also cover your legal liability in the event that you injure another person, or damage another person's property with your vehicle. Your liability could far exceed the value of your automobile, depending on the extent of the damage or injury caused. Liability insurance will cover the damage up to the dollar amount of your coverage. If you do not have auto liability insurance your personal assets could be at risk. Keep yourself safe from risk — get the best car insurance that covers all of your personal and professional needs. Nationwide Insurance is one of these auto insurance providers, having reached the status of one of the largest insurance and financial services companies worldwide, grossing over $117 billion in its statutory assets.

There are six different kinds of auto coverage available through Nationwide.
First is Bodily Injury Liability Insurance. This coverage will pay your legal bills and claims against you if your vehicle is involved in the injury or death of another person. If others are using your car with permission, this coverage extends to them as well.
Any accident related medical expenses for your passengers or yourself will be covered by the Nationwide Medical Payments Insurance. It also pays for injuries to you or your family if you are riding in someone else's car, or are hit by a car while you are walking.
Third is Nationwide Uninsured/ Underinsured Motorist Insurance. This will cover the costs related to personal or property damage if you are hit by an uninsured motorist, hit and run driver, or underinsured driver.
Next is Property Damage Liability which pays for legal defense and claims if your car damages someone else's property. This only applies to another person's property - not your own.
Nationwide Collision Insurance is the fifth coverage. It pays for damage to your car caused by a collision with an object or other vehicle, regardless of who was at fault.
Lastly, Nationwide Comprehensive Physical Damage Insurance covers damages to your car from hail, theft, fire, vandalism or other such causes.
Careful review is needed for each type of Nationwide coverage as each one applies to different loss types. Extra medical payment insurance through your auto insurer may not be necessary if you have excellent medical coverage already. However, it doesn't cost a lot for medical payment coverage, and it can make some situations go more smoothly. Emergency medical and related costs can be paid for by Nationwide Medical payments for anyone hurt while in or around your vehicle.
Nationwide's auto insurance coverage, provisions, and policies may be different in certain states. In many states, you are required by law to prove that you are financially able to pay a set amount of damages before you can even register a vehicle or get your license plates renewed. To satisfy this requirement, you must have “minimum limits” or compulsory limits,” that is, an automobile liability insurance policy for a specified minimum amount of coverage.
